Seminary Program

This is where we post the essays from many of our Universal Life Church Seminary students. When students finish a ULC course, they write a comprehensive essay about their experiences with the course, what they learned, didn't learn, were inspired by, etc. Here are their essays.

Metaphysics and Miracles

Greetings, these lessons have proven once again that if we continue to search for truth and light we can grow, learn, and seek the next level. There is no mystery to the next level, it exists for us to explore, if we can stay the course.

I have always looked at the three major religions and I see consistent truths in those ancient writings and every since those sacred words were given they point to an obvious truth, and that is, "Honesty, Truth, and Love are always there if we want to reach our true potential." Every day miracles attest to the reality of this basic concept of growth. We can enjoy lift at a different level when we practice the truths that have always been with us.

I have a friend who wrote 500 common sayings and challenged me to look at the way all of us try to recreate the obvious. There is nothing new under the sun and we spend unnecessary energy trying to say, do, and be what we want to be, rather than accepting our true calling, which is servant-leadership, humble submission, and daily self-reflection. These guidelines set the atmosphere for everyday miracles. We are constantly looking to find the obvious.

The necessary ingredients must be added to achieve a miracle, but if we cannot accept the daily manifestations of miracles that present themselves freely, we can never identify our setbacks, and achieve the freedom of that comes with true sacrifice. "Our Father, Who art in heaven, ............. Who gives us this day our daily bread and forgives us our trespasses as we forgive those who have trespassed against us....." These ancient words are reflective of what has been recorded from the time of written communication, when we struggled to make sense of all the wonder around us. The fact that when properly understood and realized as a truth, we can see and experience the rewards of an application of truth. Miracles occur and are manifested as a reality which is proven by application of ancient principles which have been applied, modified, and proven as truth.

I have been the recipient of such displays. This course and others that I will take are a means to continue the process and work of those who have come before me. My duty is to understand how I can apply these Godly principles in my daily walk, so that I can reach my earthly potential. I need to walk in the light of rediscovery of what is and has always been. How these manifestations are applied will never change, but to hear, see, and know for yourself that there exists powers and wonders ready to take shape in the physical realm is more than a thought, by applying accepted physical tools, we can achieve heavenly results.

Physician, heal thyself! Mountain, be moved! Be all that you can be! Just do it! Whatever has been said and whatever will be said, has already be said, done, and can be redone, if we take what we have and use for the "Uplifting of the Kingdom,' because what we truly seek is the verification that what and who we are is more than by chance or a mistake. There is order and reason for who and what we can become.

I thank ULC for this opportunity and I hope that something that I have said will help, because I know that the 20 lessons that I have read will continue to help me on this pilgrim journey.

Thanks again, William!

The Universal Life Church is a comprehensive online seminary where we have classes in Christianity, Wicca, Paganism, two courses in Metaphysics and much more. I have been a proud member of the ULC for many years and the Seminary since its inception.

The Universal Life Church offers handfasting ceremonies, funeral ceremonies and free minister training.

As a long time member of ULC, Rev. Long created the seminary site to help train our ministers. We also have a huge selection of Universal Life Church  minister supplies. Since being ordained with the Universal Life Church for so many years and it's Seminary since the beginning, I've watch the huge change and growth that has continued to happen.
